Geogreen Take Minority Share
Rueil-Malmaison (June 29, 2010) – PRESS RELEASE  – Aiming to facilitate ArcelorMittal’s efforts to fight climate change and within the framework of the European ULCOS II programme (Ultra–Low Carbon dioxide Steelmaking), Geogreen has acquired a minority equity share of ArcelorMittal GeoLorraine, which has recently filed an exploration permit application for the research of suitable geological storage areas. Along with its share in ArcelorMittal GeoLorraine, Geogreen has been awarded a position on its Board of Directors and a representative from Geogreen will serve as the Deputy General Manager.

Exploration Permit Filed
Florange (June 11, 2010) - Geogreen has worked closely with ArcelorMittal on filing an exploration permit for the ULCOS (Ultra–Low Carbon dioxide Steelmaking) project in northeastern France. "With a view to contribute to the efforts to fight climate change, ArcelorMittal pursues the preparation of its carbon dioxide (CO2) capture, transport and storage project in the Lorraine region by filing a research permit request for the geological storage of CO2. This project is launched in the framework of the European ULCOS programme."

Commissioned CCS Study
The International Energy Agency Greenhouse Gas R & D Programme (IEA GHG) on behalf of the Global CCS Institute (GCCSI) has requested an external review of the development recommendations in the IEA's  CCS Roadmap (based on the  Blue Map Scenario) for 2020 and beyond. The IEA Blue Map scenario defines energy technology mix target up to 2050 that should lead to a global warming below 2°C. The study that Geogreen shall perform is aimed at identifying a way forward for policymakers in accordance with this CCS development objective.

CCS Strategy for Saudi Arabia
Riyadh (Febuary 1, 2010) - Geogreen will work for the newly established King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) in partnership with IFPEN and BRGM to help define a CCS development framework for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The main deliverables from this 18 month project will be a book on the global status of CCS, a report detailing specific CCS development opportunities in the Kingdom, as well as a GIS-based decision support tool for CCS deployment in Saudi Arabia. The King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) will work jointly with Geogreen and its partners on this study.

New Geogreen Offices
Rueil-Malmaison (June 1, 2009) - In order to accommodate the expansion of its team and project activities, Geogreen has moved into its new offices located in Rueil-Malmaison. The move represents a new period of development for the young company, which has doubled its size since it was founded in 2007. The new offices will be better suited for meeting with clients and will foster better communication and teamwork between team members.
