Geogreen Work Announced in GCCSI Report
Muskoka (June 15, 2010) - The "CO2 storage gap analysis for policy makers" study to be performed by Geogreen on behalf of IEA GHG and the Global CCS Institute (GCCSI) was mentioned in the joint IEA-CSLF-GCCSI report presented at the Muskoka 2010 G8 Summit. The objective of this report will be to inform the G8 members states as to the progress, roadblocks, and next steps needed for achieving gloabl CCS technology deployment goals.

Commissioned CCS Study
The International Energy Agency Greenhouse Gas R & D Programme (IEA GHG) on behalf of the Global CCS Institute (GCCSI) has requested an external review of the development recommendations in the IEA's  CCS Roadmap (based on the  Blue Map Scenario) for 2020 and beyond. The IEA Blue Map scenario defines energy technology mix target up to 2050 that should lead to a global warming below 2°C. The study that Geogreen shall perform is aimed at identifying a way forward for policymakers in accordance with this CCS development objective.

CCS Strategy for Saudi Arabia
Riyadh (Febuary 1, 2010) - Geogreen will work for the newly established King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) in partnership with IFPEN and BRGM to help define a CCS development framework for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The main deliverables from this 18 month project will be a book on the global status of CCS, a report detailing specific CCS development opportunities in the Kingdom, as well as a GIS-based decision support tool for CCS deployment in Saudi Arabia. The King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) will work jointly with Geogreen and its partners on this study.
